Our Sealing Wax Gun is a mini-sized, low-temperature glue gun, perfectly designed for use with our Mini Glue Gun Waxes.

We understand that safety is key when working with electric heating tools, which is why we selected a UL Certified glue gun. It’s designed to give you peace of mind so you can create with confidence. While it might not win any beauty contests, this glue gun is all about getting the job done right.

One of the great benefits of using a glue gun for your wax seals is the efficiency—production times are nearly ten times faster than with traditional wick wax methods. Plus, the precise application of melted wax ensures perfect seals every time.

For best results, the glue gun requires at least two sticks of wax at a time, as the entering stick helps push the melting stick through.

Our glue gun is:

  • designed for North American voltage
  • operating at 250°F (121°C)
  • 40 watts and 120 volts.
  • compatible with 0.31" diameter sticks (not large/standard sticks)
  • UL certified

If you have any questions or need assistance, we're here to help!

☛  Quick Tip: When switching wax colors with your glue gun, it may take a bit of wax to fully transition. The wax melts into a pooling chamber inside the gun, so new colors will mix with the old until enough fresh wax runs through to clear the previous shade.

🎨 But, this can lead to some really fun color combos if you plan it out!

💡 If you need to keep colors pure, here are some options:

  • Dedicate one glue gun to a single color.
  • Cut smaller pieces of less-used colors to melt in our melting spoon.
  • Or, use the glue gun wax as wickless sealing wax and melt it near a flame.

PLEASE NOTE:

When using a glue gun (or a wax gun), it doesn’t have an on/off valve inside the nozzle. Instead, the stick of wax is pushed forward, and as the back of the stick stays solid, it presses on the softened material in front. That pressure naturally squeezes some melted wax out of the tip, a little like squeezing toothpaste from a tube.

Even after you stop pulling the trigger, the material in the heating chamber is still softening from the heat. As it melts, it expands slightly and adds to that gentle pressure. That’s why you may see a slow drip — it’s not a “leak” from a faulty seal, but just the natural way a heated stick-fed tool works.

Worked Well with 2 Sizes of Stamps

Worked smoothly with cat pawprint stamps—a mini and a .78" stamp, a nice change from a large size gun.

Glue gun and wax and seals

I love the little glue gun and the wax that fits inside I am using it for junk journal embellishments. It's the perfect size. The mini seals are the perfect size for my needs. And I ordered a custom seal with my initial. It makes a clear imprint in the wax. There are really good videos on their website that demonstrate how to get the best imprint with your seals. The company also has great customer service. The first glue gun leaked in the wrong place and they promptly replaced it. That's stellar customer service. I will definitely buy from them again. And now all my crafty friends know about this company.

Mini Sealing Wax Gun and Wax Sticks

I purchased 2 of the sealing wax guns and 35 wax sticks for our Save-the-Date cards. The entire process of ordering and receiving shipment was quick and easy. Using the guns saved an enormous amount of time make 100 seals. They were easy to use and help make my Save-the-Date cards look beautiful! Looking forward to using them again for my wedding invitations.

Exactly what I needed.

I love that it has a lot of control over how much wax is dispensed. It's small and heats up quickly. I love it and the ease of use. It came so fast in the mail I was pleasantly surprised.

Works great!

Using this for my wax seals is so much handier than using a match to melt each seal. Huge time saver - love it.

The gun works great. I

The gun works great. I haven't tried other methods, but this was very easy to use. We learned a trick: press your stamp down on the space where you want the wax to go very firmly until it makes an impression. Then, with the wax gun, trace around the outside of the impression and fill it in with the wax. It helps to trace it on the outside because you'll want a little extra wax to give your stamp plenty of room. Practice first! The downside: it's a bit awkward when the wax stick runs out and you have to stick another one in there...you're pressing on the trigger trying to get wax out while also pushing a new wax stick into the gun. Not a big problem, by any means, but just a little awkward. We stamped 36 envelopes and I think we used 4-5 mini wax sticks. Order more than you think you need just to be safe :) Love this company - they sent us a tiny bag of gummy bears with our order! Thanks, LettersandSeals.com!! Heidi

Pretty good

I wasn't expecting just a basic glue gun, but it works really really well, other than using the last 1/3rd of the sticks because there is nothing to push the stick any further and then you can't get the end out either so you have to use another stick to push that one through whether you needed all of it used at that time or not. If you bought just enough or have some sort of thing to push the rest through then it's great but I wasn't expecting the slight hiccup. The wax came out perfect and smooth and easy to put on for seals of bottles.

I'm glad you brought this up! We too experience this, and use a little trick.
With the mini glue gun, we use the fat end of a wooden chop stick to help push the remaining wax the rest of the way (pushing the wax will extrude it without need of the trigger).
This won't remove the wax if you are trying to change colors, but will let you 'squeeze out' every last bit of wax you can before using another wax stick.
With the larger glue guns, we use the back end of a wooden spoon with great results.
Really, whatever you have on hand to fit in the wax end of the gun and help provide even and steady pressure as you push on it would work fine.
